Personal information we collect
When we use the term "personal information," we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be linked to you. - Contact details, including your first and last name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code, when you fill out the signup form or write to us.
- Communications with us, including the contents of any email or message you send to hello@whodecides.org or press@whodecides.org.

We do not sell products through the Services and we do not collect payment card information on this website. If we accept donations in the future, they will be processed by a third-party payment processor under its own privacy policy, and we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

If you sign up, we use your contact details to send you updates about Who Decides, including polling, coalition news, calls to action, and events, by email and, where you have provided a phone number and agreed to receive them, by text message. You can unsubscribe from email at any time using the link in any message, and reply STOP to end text messages.
- Organizing. We may use your ZIP code to understand where our supporters are and to connect you with coalition activity in your state.
- Improving the Services. We use device and usage information to understand how the website is used and to make it better.
- Security. We use personal information to protect the Services, detect and prevent abuse, and investigate suspicious activity.
- Legal reasons. We use personal information to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, and enforce our policies.
How we disclose personal information
We may disclose your personal information to third parties for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:
- With service providers that host and operate the Services on our behalf. The website is hosted by Webflow, and our email list is managed through Mailchimp (Intuit). These providers process your information under their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.
- With coalition partners or vendors who help us organize, only where you have asked to be connected or where doing so is necessary to provide something you requested.
- To comply with applicable law, including responding to subpoenas, search warrants, and similar requests, to enforce our policies, and to protect the rights and safety of Who Decides, our supporters, and others.
- In connection with a reorganization, merger, or transfer of our operations, subject to this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for targeted advertising.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Services use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the website, such as those set by Webflow to deliver pages and process forms. We may also use analytics tools to understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the Services work.
Third-party websites and links
The Services link to websites and platforms operated by third parties, including news outlets and social networks. We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of those sites. Information you share on third-party platforms, including social media, is governed by those platforms' policies.
Children's data

Because we do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control browser signals, since we do not engage in the activities those signals are designed to limit.

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, in which case we may ask for proof of that authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Who Decides is based in the United States, and the Services are intended for people in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States.
